We stayed with 3 people in the house in filipstad for 5 nights. As we had a lot of rain, we enjoyed the house, as it is convenient with the big dining area, tv area and equipped kitchen. The terrace is beautiful with a big table, a bbq, and obviously a jacuzzi! That came in very handy when it rained. We had contact with John about a week in advance, which was shortly by phone and nice. That said, we also started off with a bit of a disappointment. As we were guided to the house by the housekeepers Tommy and Anita, they came with several additional costs that were not listed and unexpected costs. I looked at the ad again on airbnb and realised we paid already 80€ for cleaning via airbnb. With that came another 250 SEK (9:1 to euro) for cleaning which we had to do ourselves (750 SEK if we would have the housekeepers do it). Then another 240 SEK for energy (came as 2 SEK/kwh). We paid 150 SEK per set of linen/towels, and that was the only thing we knew in advance. The other costs came when we entered the house. They noted that they usually charge another 1000 SEK as deposit, which they did not in the end. When doing so when you enter a house, it is no option anymore to find another place to stay or cancel, because it is too expensive, and we had no energy to make a big fight about it. So just so you know.. If you are with a big group, the costs might not be so much of an inconvenience, as you divide it by more people, but for us it was. Another thing to note, is that the TV and wifi come in by satellite. This means that when the weather is gray and rainy, the signal is down. To conclude, we had a great time in filipstad, went to the nearby forests, sat in the jacuzzi, ate at the lookout nearby and even went to the wasa shop at the factory, but it is unfortunately worth noting that there are additional costs coming with the house. We spent 7 days to the house and everything were very well. The description of the house is complete and we didn't have surprise. The house is perfect for 6 people and the environment of the place is really nice ! (We had snow and if you have your stuff to ski, it's possible to practice) The jacuzzi outside is a really good idea and the host were really kind. About the electricity charges when you divided the price is not expensive. I highly recommend this place for vacation. thanks John

Sehr schönes Haus, tolle Gegend, mit Whirlpool und Sauna -es war sehr sehr angenehm! Direkt am See , gute Verkehrsanbindung. Das Haus war gut ausgestattet, die Kontaktperson vor Ort sehr zuverlässig und bemüht!

Nice place close to the things you need in Filistad wineshop, restaurants and shops, but still far enough away to be in a quite area. The Jacuzzi and the Sauna makes the total complete. As a bonus there is a crosscountry-skiing slope with snow canons (there is snow in the slope even if there is a snowless winter elsewhere) in walking distance from the cabin.

We rented the place for 4 days during the Easter Holiday.We were 5 adults and 3 kids.The house was much nicer than we expected.We had lots of snow and the kids had a great time went skiing in the slope just nearby.The caretaker was very friendly and nice and so was the host.Thanks John!
