Banyan Villa 2 provides spacious accommodation for up to 6 guests and is built around its own private pool, surrounded by a mature secluded garden filled with tropical colour and protected from outside disturbance by a surrounding garden wall.
The Villa’s private pool is 1.2 meters deep along its entire 10 meter length and features both a Jacuzzi and a bar within the pool itself. Sun-loungers are available on the poolside terrace, along with a garden table and chairs; all set in a secluded garden allowing guests to relax in quiet privacy.
The villa has under cover parking for one car with parking for further cars available in the parking area outside the villas. A pedestrian gate leads onto the drive and garden path taking you down to the soft sands of Bang Por Beach a mere half minute stroll through lush tropical gardens. Next to the beach is a larger shared pool which is also available to Banyan Villas’ guests.
The property can be rented together with Villa 1 more than doubling the space available, catering for groups of up to 14 people who can enjoy the quiet seclusion of the villas' two pools and Jacuzzis.
Banyan Villas, built in the Balinese style were completed in 2006. The two villas are almost mirror images of each other in terms of both size and general living arrangements. Both Banyan Villas are identically furnished, combining elements of western and Asian style, providing high levels of comfort and practicality.
Villa 2 is accessed from the garden and is raised 3 steps above garden level. The Villa is tastefully furnished throughout in Chinese style teakwood and bamboo with ceiling fans to most rooms, air-conditioned bedroom accommodation is found on the ground floor whilst the sea breezes can be enjoyed in the first floor living, bar and balcony areas.
Entry to the villa is through double doors leading into the dining room or through the kitchen. The European style kitchen is fitted out with modern cooking appliances including oven and separate hotplates, microwave, fridge-freezer, coffee maker, rice cooker, toaster and cooking utensils. A full complement of premium crockery, glassware and cutlery is also provided.
Adjacent to the kitchen is the dining room; the teak dining table will accommodate 8 in comfort and has views over the pool and garden. If al-fresco dining is preferred patio dining can be enjoyed just through the dining room doors. A guest powder room is located just off the dining room.
Stairs lead from the dining room to the upstairs living area. Again furnished in teak and bamboo, the living room has a bar area, guest powder room and double doors leading onto the roof terrace and Sala with views over the pool and gardens, great for that evening sun-downer! The living room is equipped with a second “bar fridge”, satellite TV, DVD and stereo system.
Downstairs the 3 main bedrooms open onto the pool terrace. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and adjoining large en-suite with twin sinks, bath, shower and wc.
Bedrooms 2 and 3 have a king sized bed and twin beds respectively, both have their own en-suite bathrooms. The 3 bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans and air-conditioning.

Car hire is strongly recommended to reach local amenities and shops. Driving on Samui is relatively simple; there is one main road that circumnavigates the island. Driving is on the left hand side of the road.
An international driving licence is preferable. International car hire companies such as Hertz and Avis are present at the airport. Our local agent can also arrange car hire for you.

Koh Samui is a beautiful tropical island situated off the South East coast of Thailand; it has been welcoming visitors to its charm and wealth of idyllic sandy beaches since 1971.
Just 25 kilometres long by 21 kilometres wide it is renowned for its warm Thai welcome, it’s fantastic Thai cuisine matched by a diverse range of cuisine from around the world and a wealth of activities from diving and snorkelling to exploring the jungle and taking in the breath-taking views from the mountains of the interior.
Samui is surrounded by the clear waters of the South China Sea and offshore there are numerous coral reefs to explore. Some of the best reefs are to be found on the surrounding islands and within the nearby marine park of Ang Thong, a short boat trip away. The nearby island of Koh Tao provides some of the best diving in the region.
The main tourist centres are Chaeweng and Lamai, where nightlife, entertainment and restaurants can be found in abundance, for those who choose tranquillity the northern coast provides a more quite family atmosphere. However, the size of the island means that no-where is really that far away.
Nearer to hand, The Fisherman’s village in Bohput offers an eclectic selection of restaurants from around the region and further afield together with many shops. On Friday nights the seafront road is closed to traffic for Bohput’s “Walking Street”. Even nearer on Thursday nights is Maenam’s “Walking Street” market, a far more Thai affair and not to be missed!
Koh Samui has a wealth of local culture, although tourism is an important revenue earner, the more traditional side of Samui is alive and well if you dig beneath the surface. Around the island you will find many Wats (temples), the largest of these, Big Buddha is near the airport, its centre piece is a huge golden statue of a seated Buddha.
Nathorn, on the West coast is the administrative centre of Koh Samui and where the ferry from the mainland arrives. It is well worth a visit to see the local markets and get a flavour of the real Samui, away from the tourist centres.
There are numerous festivals on the island throughout the year, where you will see the local community celebrating through food fairs, temple activities, live music and other cultural performances. The most notable of these are Chinese New Year (February), Songkhran (Thai New Year – April 13th to 15th) and Loi Krathong (November).
